Today I wished to share a quick 'before and after' from the parish of Immaculate Conception in Kenton, Ohio, by William Heyer Architect. This is a reasonably modest renovation compared to some of those we have shown in the past, but one which certainly has certainly had a positive impact all the same. The main addition here is the gothic revival altar and reredos within the sanctuary, as well as a moral classical freestanding altar, and the corresponding modification of the gothic shrines to either side of the apse to align with the rereads. The end result is one which is far more noble both in terms of beauty as well as order and simplicity.
