The following are a few examples of liturgical embroidery coming from Malta. Regrettably, I can provide little commentary on these examples, but it seems to me that they will be of interest to many of our readers all the same. They include altar frontals, tabernacle veils and other examples. My recollection is that these examples are all contemporary, demonstrating yet again that the present notion that liturgical embroidery is, today, an all but dead art, is little more than a myth. It exists -- if only you are willing to procure it.
