Continuing on with our consideration of the liturgical art that was produced for the commemoration of St. Junipero Serra in the San Francisco area, we now turn to the vestments that were produced for the occasion, beginning with the solemn Mass set itself.
The set was produced by the American firm, Altarworthy, and included both a gothic revival chasuble option (which was what Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone opted to wear for the Pontifical Mass) as well as a 'pianeta' in the Spanish shape (see right).
In addition to these, a new lace alb was also produced for the occasion, designed and executed by another American firm, Sacra Indumenta.
